Horsham stone is one of the most distinctive and historic roofing materials in Surrey— but its weight, age and irregular surface make traditional inspection methods slow, expensive and in some cases unsafe. This project demonstrates exactly why drone inspection is the smarter choice.
The Project:
Cloud AeroDrones were commissioned to carry out a close-range aerial inspection of a Horsham stone roof on a residential property in Surrrey. Using the DJI Matrice 4TD, we captured high-resolution imagery of every tile, ridge, verge, chimney stack and lead flashing — delivering a comprehensive visual record of the roof’s condition without scaffolding, cherry picker or roof access.
What We Delivered:
- Close-range high-resolution imagery of the full roof surface
- Detailed chimney stack and flashing inspection
- Identification of displaced tiles, moss growth and pointing deterioration
- Full image set delivered digitally within 24 hours of the flight
